March 2014 Prayer Letter

Dear friends and family,

A heartfelt thank you to all of you for your prayers and support of the Keywi card project!  2014 is really picking up speed and I have some exciting updates to share with you as well as a number of specific prayer requests (all listed below).  Your agreement in prayer, encouragement, ideas, and feedback are priceless to me.  I cannot undertake this alone.  I am truly grateful for your support alongside me as I walk forward, endeavoring to follow Jesus' lead in all I do.

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and guidance over this project.
He has truly orchestrated the sowing of His word!

*Keywi cards have been sent all over the country including Washington state, Boston, New York city, Hagerstown, Maryland, and Brownwood, Texas.  Several friends of mine are also planning to transport them to Naples, Florida, Philadelphia, and even to Zimbabwe this May. &nbsp

*Psalm 91 Keywis are continuing to be sent out to troops as a gift along with a letter thanking them for their service.  There are approximately 250 Psalm 91 Keywis in the hands of soldiers and their loved ones.  A large number of these soldiers were deployed to Afghanistan in April of 2013, and many of the Keywis were sent directly to the U.S. Air Force base in the Kyrgyzstan Republic.

*Just this week, I received an encouraging letter from a mother who told me her 13-year old daughter keeps her Keywi on her backpack.  This way, every morning she studies her memory verses with her Keywi on her bus commute.  Praise God!

* I am prayerfully considering a product launch at the International Christian Retail Show in Atlanta, June 22nd-25th. (See more information here: http://christianretailshow.com/)  I'm so thankful to God for this opportunity, and am asking for His wisdom and direction moving forward.

ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS: Please pray over each person who has or who will receive a Keywi Bible verse set.

*Ask God to "till up the soil" of their hearts to receive His word for lasting fruitfulness (Matthew 13:3-9 and John 15:4,5,16).  Also pray for the Holy Spirit to stir up an insatiable hunger for God's Word and to illuminate its meaning for repentance, application, and heart regeneration.

*Please continue to pray for each soldier touched by the Psalm 91 Keywi project.  Pray for their spiritual and physical protection, especially according to each verse of Psalm 91.

PERSONAL PRAYER REQUESTS: Pray for guidance and wisdom as this project moves forward.

*As I consider the opportunity to exhibit at the International Christian Retail Show, I'm quite overwhelmed!  Between all the logistics and work to be done before June 22nd as well as the financial risk involved, I'm absolutely desperate for God's direction and wisdom.  At the same time, I'm confident in His faithfulness and His grace over me.  I know that God's word never returns to Him void.  It is living and active and it pierces to dividing soul and spirit.  I love how God's word has changed me and I desire to share that passion and His life-giving Word with others.  I'm so thankful for this unique opportunity to do so, but I truly desire His leading and His will regarding the timing and growth of this project.

Thank you all so much again for lifting up these requests to our gracious and loving Father!  I am so grateful for your prayers and I plan to keep you updated as this project moves forward.

In Christ,

Ursula Brush

April - May Prayer Letter 2014

Dear friends and family, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.  Praise God, Jesus is risen indeed!   I just wanted to share a few updates and  prayer  requests for the  Keywi  Card project: Please  pray  for the t rade show in Atlanta, Georgia! This June 22-25,  Keywi  Cards will be exhibiting at the International Christian Retail Show in Atlanta, Georgia ( http://christianretailshow. com/ ).   Nearly every major Christian bookstore retailer and distributor will be there along with many well-know Christian authors and speakers.  A s you can imagine, preparations for this show are quite extensive and I have often felt stressed and overwhelmed over the last few weeks.   I could really use  prayer  for balance, guidance, wisdom, and time management.   There are so many things that still need to be accomplished in a short period of time.  I'm making a catalog, designing hang tags and UPC labels, sourcing displays for the cards, designing and creating a booth for the

Why Memorize God's Word?

God’s word is living an d life-changing. Hebrews 4:12 states:  " For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (NIV) When you memorize key passages from the Bible, you are able to meditate on God’s word at any time. This is especially helpful when you face difficulties, fears, or attacks from the enemy. A better, more thorough knowledge of the Bible helps you pray and know God’s character in a deeper way as well as understand God’s will for your life. Not only will you be better able to handle life’s challenges, but you will be able to better encourage others in their spiritual journeys. Memorization of God’s word will also strengthen your spirit, increase your faith, and help you progress in spiritual maturity. Memorization of scripture takes dedication and perseverance, but the reward in reaping eternal, lasti

The Keywi Symbol

Beauty in nature reveals the artistry, creativity, and goodness of our Creator. Kiwi fruit is not just delicious to eat, but forms a beautiful starburst pattern when sliced in half. This is just one example of how we know and experience God’s goodness!  Psalm 34:8 encourages us to “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” (NIV) Just as God’s gift brings nourishment and delight to our senses, every set of Keywi™ cards made for this project is designed to be both beautiful and provide nourishment to the soul. As with any fruit, a kiwi begins as a tiny black seed. Planted in good soil with proper watering and light, the kiwi can grow into a vine and bear fruit.  Just as Jesus taught in the parable of the sower, my prayer is that the seeds of God’s word would fall on the good soil of your heart, producing in you a fruitful and abundantly fulfilling life. Bearing fruit requires that we remain in Christ.  Jesus stated i
