April - May Prayer Letter 2014

Dear friends and family, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.  Praise God, Jesus is risen indeed!   I just wanted to share a few updates and  prayer  requests for the  Keywi  Card project: Please  pray  for the t rade show in Atlanta, Georgia! This June 22-25,  Keywi  Cards will be exhibiting at the International Christian Retail Show in Atlanta, Georgia ( http://christianretailshow. com/ ).   Nearly every major Christian bookstore retailer and distributor will be there along with many well-know Christian authors and speakers.  A s you can imagine, preparations for this show are quite extensive and I have often felt stressed and overwhelmed over the last few weeks.   I could really use  prayer  for balance, guidance, wisdom, and time management.   There are so many things that still need to be accomplished in a short period of time.  I'm making a catalog, designing hang tags and UPC labels, sourcing displays for the cards, designing and creating a booth for the

Dear friends and family, A heartfelt thank you to all of you for your prayers and support of the Keywi card project!  2014 is really picking up speed and I have some exciting updates to share with you as well as a number of specific prayer requests (all listed below).  Your agreement in prayer, encouragement, ideas, and feedback are priceless to me.  I cannot undertake this alone.  I am truly grateful for your support alongside me as I walk forward, endeavoring to follow Jesus' lead in all I do. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and guidance over this project.   He has truly orchestrated the sowing of His word! *Keywi cards have been sent all over the country including Washington state, Boston, New York city, Hagerstown, Maryland, and Brownwood, Texas.  Several friends of mine are also planning to transport them to Naples, Florida, Philadelphia, and even to Zimbabwe this May. &nbsp *Psalm 91 Keywis are continuing to be sent out to troops as a gift along with a letter

Romans 5:8

Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Rome But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Our backs were turned on God. We wanted no part of him. We were not seeking God. We were seeking to fill our lives with the things that brought pleasure. Our heart did not fear God; we feared not getting what we wanted. But even in our wretched state of sinfulness, God shows his amazing love for us! God did not wait for us to get our spiritual act together. He is supremely willing to demonstrate His love that He gave His Son for sinners so that all can see it. This is the proof of His love for us. God’s love surpasses the most extreme sacrifice of man for others. God demonstrates how great is His love for us by sacrificing His most beloved Son. God continuously establishes His love because even today the death of Christ for our sins remains His most striking manifestation of His love. Christ died for us while we were in our

John 3:16

Jesus speaking to Nicodemus For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.   “John 3:16.”  Undoubtedly, this is the most widely know scripture reference, and that has not been by accident.  Many believe that John 3:16 is the most concise statement of the Christian faith, the gospel in a nutshell so to speak. We see in this passage the indescribable love of God for humanity ; a love that would compel God, to give the life of his only Son, Jesus Christ. God is not indifferent toward each of us, God is passionate for us . Let's look for a moment at John 3:16 in context .  The passage has to do with what it means to be born again.   Nicodemus, curious about Jesus, comes to Him one night with a compliment towards all Jesus had done. Jesus tells him “no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” (John 3:5) Nicodemus doesn’t get it and so Jesus explains that it is not ab

Psalm 139:23-24

"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." I love the Psalms.  Perhaps it is the English major in me.  They are deeply poetic and thick with emotion.  David's intimate relationship with the Lord is on display throughout the Psalms.  He invites God in to the depths of his heart.  David bravely makes this prayer request of God himself. He knows that God knows everything about him, but He asks God to give him real tests in real life – not just in a academic setting – to see where he stands in his life purpose before God. He wants to know how he scores on the tests so he can improve his way of living before God.  David wants to know if there is any wicked way, purpose, intention, direction for life or choices within him. He does not want to sin or practice sin in any way or to any degree. He wants to remove or have God remove any wickedness within him, so

Isaiah 40:29-31

" He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;  but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."  Isaiah 40:29-31. Life is sometimes tiring, to say the least. You can easily become exhausted, giving in to what seems inevitable or giving up on what appears unchangeable. It has been said, “Fatigue makes cowards of us all.” (General George S. Patton). When you are exhausted, you want to quit. Everything feels more difficult. Responsibilities weigh heavier than they are; tasks seem more complicated; schedules are more burdensome; problems seem bigger, less manageable. You just “don’t feel like it,” whatever it is.  I battle this attitude in many areas of life.  Relationships are difficult, work can seem overwhelming, and some

Hebrews 11:6

Faith pleases God; He rewards those who seek Him And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.   Devotional Coming Soon!!
